Enjoying October

The first weekend in October brought several inches of snow and lots of fun! We could hardly wait to bundle up and get outside!

The snow was beautiful while it lasted but it didn't stay long.

Luckily things warmed up in time for some Halloween festivities. We went to a local pumpkin patch and we couldn't resist buying a pumpkin almost as big as Ethan! He was so proud of it.

We also had a great time at the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point with Jenni and Ashley and carved our pumpkins with family and friends at Paul and Kelsey's annual Fright Fest.(thanks for the fun!)
(And in case you can't tell from the picture, Steve tried to carve a portrait of Ethan into his pumpkin. He hopes to improve his carving skills for next year when he'll attempt a portrait of Quintan:))

The snow looks like fun, but I am glad that it isn't here yet. The cooler weather is enough for me right now. I don't think that the carving of Ethan is too bad, We still need to get our pumpkins to carve. The ward bonfire is Saturday and we are supposed to bring a jack-o-lantern. We will just have to see if it happens. Have a great day!
